Scans are how Scout gathers intelligence about your business and competitors.

What Happens During a Scan

When you run a scan, Scout:

Crawls the website - Reads public pages, content, and structure

Extracts business data - Identifies products, pricing, messaging

Analyzes positioning - Understands market position and value props

Generates insights - Creates actionable intelligence using AI

Scan Duration

• Quick Scan: ~90 seconds for initial analysis
• Deep Discovery: 2-5 minutes for comprehensive analysis

Scan Frequency Options

Manual Scanning

Run scans whenever you want by clicking Run Scan on your project.

Automatic Scanning (Pro+)

Set up recurring scans:

• Weekly - Every 7 days
• Monthly - Every 30 days

To configure:

Go to project settings

Select your preferred scan frequency

Save changes

Scan Credits

Viewing Scan History

Go to your project

Click Analyses in the sidebar

View all past scans with dates and summaries

Re-scanning

To run a new scan:

Open your project

Click Run New Scan

Wait for completion (~90 seconds)

New scans detect changes and update your intelligence.
