How to set up and configure a new project

Creating a Project

Projects are the foundation of Scout. Each project represents a brand or website you want to analyze.

Creating a New Project

  • Click New Project from the Dashboard or sidebar
  • Enter the following information:
  • - Website URL - The main website to analyze - Project Name - A friendly name for the project
  • Click Create Project
  • Project Limits

    Your project limit depends on your plan:

    PlanProjects
    Free1
    Pro5
    EnterpriseUnlimited

    Project Settings

    After creation, you can configure:

    Scan Frequency

    • Manual - Only scan when you trigger it
    • Weekly - Automatic weekly rescans (Pro+)
    • Monthly - Automatic monthly rescans (Pro+)

    Brand Settings

    Customize how your project appears in exports:
    • Brand name
    • Logo
    • Brand colors

    Team Access

    Share projects with team members (Pro+):
    • Members - Can view reports, run scans, and modify
    • Admins - Full access including team management
    • Owners - Full access including billing and settings

    Setting a Default Project

    Mark a project as your default for quick access:

  • Open the project dropdown in the navigation
  • Click the star icon next to any project
  • That project will load by default
  • Deleting a Project

    To delete a project:

  • Go to the Dashboard
  • Find the project card
  • Click the three-dot menu (⋯)
  • Select Delete Project
  • Confirm deletion
  • Warning: Deleting a project removes all analyses, reports, and data permanently.
